Progress Reports

As report cards are going home this afternoon, I thought I would write a few things to consider as you review them over the weekend.

When looking at the reporting areas for Français:
Oral Negotiates meaning – understanding French discussion and instruction
Expresses oneself – speaking in French
Written Negotiates meaning – reading in French (including decoding, fluency and comprehension)
Expresses oneself – writing in French
An important point to note about term two report cards is that expectations are increasing as the year progresses. Though a student may have received a B in term one, and a second B in term two, it does not mean that there has been no progress. It simply means that the student is beginning to meet the expectations for this point in the year.
I look forward to discussing students’ progress further during Three-Way Conferences next week. If you have not yet scheduled a time to meet with me, I would encourage you to contact the main office.
Thank you, as always, for your support at home.
