Les poussins - Jour 2

Today we went and visited the eggs again, only today we could hear peeping and could see the little cracks on the eggs where the chicks are starting to hatch from. After school this evening, I was in Mme Hada's classroom and got to see one hatch! Hopefully one will hatch during the day tomorrow and we will all get to see. Here is a photo and a short video of what happened.

The chick uses his beak to peck all around the egg and then pushes out. He is really, really tired after and just lays in the incubator while he dries off and gets his energy back.
